چکیده

This study evaluated the effects of chromium picolinate (CrPic) with or without vitamin C on reproductive potentials cocks raised under high ambient temperature. Four diets contained CrPic at 0.00 to 1.20 mg kg-1 and another four 200 each. A total 192 White Leghorn Noiler (96 each) were randomly assigned 8 treatments replicated 4 times 6 per replicate in a 2 x2 x factorial experiment. At end sixteen weeks study, twelve birds treatment sacrificed. The testes carefully sampled, weighed processed for estimation daily sperm production using homogenate method. results revealed that interactions 0.40 significantly (p < 0.05) influenced gonadal extra-gonadal weights, semen characteristics among while hormones not negatively affected. therefore, concluded diet could reduce heat stress temperature impacting their normal functions.

Preparation and evaluation of geopolymer composites containing alumina particles at ambient temperature and after heating

In this research, geopolymer composites were prepared using metakaolin along with silica fume and potassium hydroxide as alkaline activators and alumina particles. The effect of alumina particle size to achieve castable microstructure and their mechanical properties were investigated. Different Si:Al mole ratio (1.5, 2, 2.5 and 3) and K:Si mole ratio (0.20, 0.25, 0.33) were formulated and the s...

Growth and antioxidant status of broilers fed supplemental lysine and pyridoxine under high ambient temperature

Three levels of lysine (90, 100 and 110% of Ross requirement) and of pyridoxine (3, 6 and 9 mg kg-1) were used in a 3 × 3 factorial experiment to investigate the growth and blood antioxidant ability of broilers under high ambient temperature. None of the dietary supplements affected the weight gain during the starter and grower periods. Although no significant differences were detect...

detection of volatile compounds of medicinal plants with some nano-sorbents using modified or new methodologies and investigation of antioxidant activity of their methanolic extracts

in this work, a novel and fast method for direct analysis of volatile compounds (davc) of medicinal plants has been developed by holding a filament from different parts of a plant in the gc injection port. the extraction and analysis of volatile components of a small amount of plant were carried out in one-step without any sample preparation. after optimization of temperature, extraction time a...

Effect of thymol and carvacrol on nutrient digestibility in rams fed high or low concentrate diets

Published data on the effects of essential oils (EO) on in vivo nutrient digestibility in sheep are contradictory. In 2 experiments, the effect of thymol and carvacrol on nutrient digestibility was studied in sheep fed with high (70%) or low (52%) concentrate diets, using incomplete Latin Square designs. The essential oils were mixed with the concentrate portion of the diet at the rate of 0.0, ...

Expression of genes controlling fat deposition in two genetically diverse beef cattle breeds fed high or low silage diets

BACKGROUND Both genetic background and finishing system can alter fat deposition, thus indicating their influence on adipogenic and lipogenic factors. However, the molecular mechanisms underlying fat deposition and fatty acid composition in beef cattle are not fully understood. This study aimed to assess the effect of breed and dietary silage level on the expression patterns of key genes contro...
